Biographies

Ignacio Cueto

Ignacio Cueto has served as a member of LATAM Airlines Group's Board of Directors and as Chairman since April 2017, and was re-elected to the Board in April 2019, April 2020, November 2022, and April 2024. His career in the airline industry spans over 30 years. In 1985, he assumed the position of Vice President of Sales at Fast Air Carrier, a national cargo company, and subsequently became Service Manager and Commercial Manager for the Miami sales office. He later served on the Board of Directors of Ladeco (1994–1997) and LAN (1995–1997). He served as President of LAN Cargo from 1995 to 1998, as Chief Executive Officer of the Passenger Business from 1999 to 2005, and as President and Chief Operating Officer of LAN from 2005 until the merger with TAM in 2012, after which he served as CEO of LAN until April 2017. He also led the establishment of the Company's various affiliates across South America and the implementation of key alliances with other airlines. He is a member of the Cueto Group and may be deemed to have beneficial ownership over certain common shares held by the Cueto Group.

Enrique Cueto

Enrique Cueto has served as a member of LATAM Airlines Group's Board of Directors since April 2020. He previously served as the Company's Chief Executive Officer from the merger between LAN and TAM in June 2012. From 1983 to 1993, he was Chief Executive Officer of Fast Air, a Chilean cargo airline. From 1993 to 1994, he served as a member of the Board of LAN Airlines, and subsequently held the position of CEO of LAN until June 2012. He is a member of the Board of the Colunga Foundation, which promotes child well-being. He holds a degree in Economic Sciences from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and is the brother of Ignacio Cueto, Chairman of the Board. He is also a member of the Cueto Group and may be deemed to have beneficial ownership over certain common shares held by the Cueto Group.

Sonia J.S. Villalobos

Sonia Villalobos joined the Board of LATAM Airlines Group in August 2018. A Brazilian citizen, she is the founding partner of Villalobos Consultoria. She has served as a regular member of the board of directors of several Brazilian listed companies, including Petrobras and Telefónica Vivo. Between 2005 and 2009, she was Manager of Funds in Latin America, based in Chile, managing mutual and institutional funds at Larrain Vial AGF. From 1996 to 2002, she was responsible for Private Equity investments in Brazil, Argentina, and Chile for Bassini, Playfair & Associates, LLC. In 1989, she served as Head of Research at Banco de Investimentos Garantia. She holds a degree in Public Administration from the Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo (1984) and a Master's in Finance from the same institution (2004). She was the first person to receive the CFA certification in Latin America, in 1994.

Frederico P. Fleury Curado

Frederico Curado has served on the Board of LATAM Airlines Group since November 2022 as an independent director. He has also served as an independent director of Transocean since 2013, where he chairs the Governance, Safety and Environment (GSE) Committee. Since 2016, he has served as an independent director at ABB, where he chairs the Compensation Committee. He was CEO of Embraer from 2007 to 2016, and CEO of Ultrapar from 2017 to 2021. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical-Aeronautical Engineering from the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA) and an Executive MBA from the University of São Paulo, Brazil.

Michael Neruda

Michael Neruda has served as a member of the Board at LATAM Airlines Group since November 2022. A seasoned investor and board member, he is a former Partner of Sixth Street, a leading global investment firm, where he served as Head of Restructuring and Distressed Investing and led the firm's cross-platform investing in businesses requiring a combination of public markets expertise and private capital financing. Prior to joining Sixth Street in 2015, he was a Director at Watershed Asset Management, where he led the firm's investments in the consumer and energy sectors. He was previously an investment analyst at MHR Fund Management, Silver Point Capital, and Merrill Lynch. He holds a B.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and is a CFA Charterholder. His governance experience includes board roles at LATAM Airlines, Neiman Marcus, and Stallion Infrastructure Services, as well as serving on the Board of Governors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco and the Board of Trustees of the Katherine Delmar Burke School.

Alexander Wilcox

Alexander Wilcox has served as a member of the Board of Directors of LATAM Airlines Group since October 2020. Based in the United States, he brings broad experience in the aviation industry, having held executive positions at several airlines since 1996, including as a co-founder of JetBlue Airways and as the founding President and COO of a large airline in India. He is co-founder and CEO of JSX, a public charter commuter air carrier operating in the United States and recognized as the highest-rated air carrier in North America by Net Promoter Score (NPS). He has been a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute since 2011 and is a member of the Dallas chapter of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO Gold).

Bornah Moghbel

Bornah Moghbel has served as Vice-Chairman of the Board at LATAM Airlines Group since November 2022. He is a Co-Founder and Partner of Sixth Street, a leading global investment firm that offers capital solutions to companies across all stages of growth. Based in San Francisco, he co-leads Sixth Street's global opportunistic investment platform. After co-founding Sixth Street in 2009, he established the firm's presence in Europe before returning to the United States in 2016. Prior to joining Sixth Street, he was an investor at Silver Point Capital, having begun his career in the Financial Sponsors Group at UBS Investment Bank. He holds a B.A. in Economics (with high honors) and a minor in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.

Luis Felipe Cerón

Luis Felipe Cerón serves as a director of Sigdo Koppers S.A. and Molibdenos y Metales S.A., and as Vice President of the Board of Euroamerica S.A. From 2017 to 2021, he served as Executive Director of Energía Llaima SpA, a renewable energy company, where he led the incorporation of Canadian firm Innergex as a partner and the acquisition of two generation plants. Prior to this role, he developed a career of more than 20 years at AES Gener, serving as General Manager and subsequently as President, leading the expansion of installed capacity in Chile from 1,730 MW to 4,098 MW with investments exceeding US$4 billion. He holds a degree in Industrial Civil Engineering (with a specialization in Electrical Engineering) from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics.

Marcos Büchi Buc

Marcos Büchi Buc has served as President of Cemento Polpaico S.A. since 2017, and as a Director of Sigdo Koppers S.A. since 2024, where he is a member of the Directors' Committee. He also serves as a Director of Almendral S.A. and Vice President of the Santo Tomás Higher Education Institutions. His career spans the energy, mining, and insurance sectors. He served as a Director of Codelco S.A. for two terms under Chile's Senior Public Management System (Sistema de Alta Dirección Pública), as General Manager of Chilquinta Energía S.A., and as President of the insurance companies of Consorcio Financiero for nearly a decade. He holds a degree in Structural Civil Engineering from the Universidad de Chile.
